Senior Jarret Moore has signed to Notre Dame College of Ohio to play football. Moore has been playing football for nine years total. Notre Dame College of Ohio is a Division 2 college for football.

Moore’s visit to Notre Dame was a success.

“I liked it a lot,” said Moore.

Moore is six-foot, two-inches and weighs 275-280 pounds. In high school, Moore said that he played the position called tackle, but coach Rickel of Notre Dame would like to move him around to the guard position.

The coach that influenced Moore the most was his old wrestling coach, coach Betts from back in third grade throughout sixth grade, Moore said.

“He taught me to be aggressive no matter what sport I am playing and be confident at what I do,” said Moore.

Notre Dame wasn’t Moore’s only choice in football he was also offered by Mount Union and Malone.

Moore gets $20,500 from academics, same amount from Mount Union, but Malone he said, “slapped me in the face with a low offer.”

The final decision came down to a financial standpoint.

“I picked Notre Dame because Mount Union wouldn’t be able to give me athletic money down the road but Notre Dame can.” said Moore.

Moore signed during signing day and will be attending football camp coming up in the second week of August.
