Principal Valerie Orr has recently started a new Trojan Pride Program to honor the best and brightest students of MHS and reward them for doing well in school. It is for students who have earned at least a 3.0 G.P.A as an average of all three trimesters for the previous school year or have a higher than an average ACT score.
As a member of the Trojan Pride Program, the student will receive a Trojan Pride Card with rewards and benefits within the school and in the community.
If you are a student who has a 3.8 or higher G.P.A or a 28 Composite Score on the ACT you will be receiving a platinum card. The platinum card will include a free Homecoming ticket, a free parking pass, and discounts at the Trojan Den. You will also get discounts at Deb’s Flowers, Buscemis Pizza and Ricks Sports.
If you have a 3.5- 3.8 G.P.A or a 26 on the ACT, you will be rewarded a red card and you can get $10 off a Homecoming ticket and many other rewards. If you have a 3.0-3.49 G.P.A or a 24 score on the ACT, you will receive the white card. If you have the white card, you can get $5 off a Homecoming ticket and $5 off Yearbook. See the pictures of the cards to view all of the individual benefits of each card.
There will be an award celebration on March 26, at 6 p.m. in the MHS gym. Students will be recognized and will receive membership cards at this ceremony. Letters have already been sent out to students who qualify.
