Homecoming week is an exciting time for students here at MHS, and for students on court, there’s a little competition involved: Homecoming Court. S club and interact club member senior Sabrina Sulfaro was elected by her fellow senior class for homecoming court this year and is said she is excited about all of the preparation for the big crowning night.
Sulfaro seems confident about the competition, as she said she thinks that she has a good chance of taking the crown. Though she seems positive, Sulfaro said she is aware of the competition.
“I think it’s pretty evenly matched,” Sulfaro said when talking about her fellow competitors. “Anybody could win.”
Each homecoming court member must go in front of the whole student body and do a skit as a campaign booster.
“I am basically dancing to a whole bunch of songs,” Sulfaro said when asked about her skit. She also named off all of the people she is doing the skit with. She said she’s not worried about doing the skit because she’s used to being funny.
Sulfaro said she is used to being involved and in the spotlight as she is in many clubs and sports. She also said she already has everything together, including her dress that she described, which is long and purple.
Sulfaro is confident as she said she is prepared for taking the crown for Homecoming Queen.
