Monroe High’s upcoming play, Seussical the Musical, will be a combination of all the stories we know and love. From Horton Hears– a- Who to The Grinch, the cast will combine these stories for a night of entertainment.
“I just want to be on stage and do what I love to do,” said freshman Zach Everly.
This is Everly’s eighth show, and he has been performing since 2011. He will be playing the character JoJo that goes along with Horton Hears- a -Who. Along with the rest of the cast that has been selected for the roles in the musical, Everly said he will be working hard to put on a great show.
“I’m rather excited for the part since it’s pretty big,” he said.
Opening night for the play will be Friday, Nov. 22 and will be going all weekend. With the great cast that has been selected and the intriguing story line, the musical will be without a doubt a big hit.
“I’m really excited to watch Seussical because I know that the cast that has been chosen is great at acting and singing,” said sophomore Lauren Malik.
Along with numerous others, Malik will be there opening night to see for herself how hard this cast works.
In the past, Sue Sacks has been the director for Monroe’s plays, runs drama club, has taught PPI, and has helped with almost everything that has to do with theater. Anyone who has gone to her productions in the past knows that this play will be no different from the others.
Whether you go to MHS, know someone in the play, or just want to be entertained by hours of Suess, you should take into consideration going to see this play.
