Student discusses the implications of children in politics

Over the course of this past election, many liberals and democrats have been feisty over the new president, Donald Trump. Most people can’t agree on his decisions to “Make America Great Again.” When such dislike and dispute happening, people started attacking the guy and his family.

Donald Trump has had three wives, and five kids distributed through the wives. One of his kids is Barron Trump. He is by far the youngest out of all of Donald Trump’s kids, at 10 years old. He is the son of Melania Trump. If you remember when you were 10, do you remember how you were just learning to grow as a person? This child was born in the spotlight and served with a silver spoon. He only knows what he is around. Maybe he doesn’t like the idea of being a first kid, maybe he’d rather just be a regular kid. We can’t understand what he goes through daily. This child has been receiving so much hate from others.

On Jan. 20, the day of Barron Trump father’s inauguration ceremony, “Saturday Night Live” writer, Katie Rich, mocked the 10-year old on Twitter. The writer said, “Barron will be this country’s first homeschool shooter.” Making fun of any person is a form of bullying and there should never be any exception even with biased opinions.  The SNL writer was suspended from her position until further notice.

Every president’s kid(s) has gotten bullied from the public, especially the Obama girls. Sasha and Malia were the first African-American first children. With racist people came racist comments. These girls were hated on for absolutely no reason. People mostly hated on them because of their dad and their different opinions towards him. As for the first kid now, no matter how badly one dislikes their father or mother’s view of things, children who have nothing to do with it, should be kept out.
