Ohio Technical College Power instructor Ed Stokes awed our Monroe High students with a beautiful airbrushed hood April 19 in Bryan Zamorski’s classes. The auto tech students were there all day as the creation was brought to life right before their eyes. Stokes taught the class many things about airbrush including the time it takes to create such a piece and the practice needed to use the airbrush tool.

“All you need to know how to do while airbrushing is the ability to cheat and use tricks,” Stokes said.

The students in the class learned a lot and began to look at airbrushing as a full-time job.

“I really would like to pursue airbrush and take the class at Ohio Tech,” said senior Jhered Bires.

“I plan to go to Ohio Tech and would like to tack the airbrushing class onto the end of my classes as I go for my associate’s degree,” said senior Brayden Gerth.

Stokes began with a blank canvas, working on a hood that will be used on MHS Automotive Tech dragster, a small pickup truck that will soon be competing in Monroe County High School drag races at Milan Speedway. Stokes’ hood already dazzled our students and now the audience at the Speedway will be dazzled as the truck races down the track.
