Aside from a busy schedule at school, senior Kennedy Russeau, one of this year’s homecoming court nominees, works and cheers for MHS.
This will be Russeau’s first time being elected for court; with her high-low pink dress, she said she believes she will have a good chance winning.
Russeau said her favorite part of homecoming is getting ready.
“I love getting my hair and nails done,” she said. “My dress is pink and sparkly. It’s flowy in the back.”
Being her senior year, Russeau said she is especially excited for homecoming.
“I’ve never been on court before,” she said. “I think it will be better than last because it is my senior year and everyone will be there.”
Aside from school, Russeau is a a varsity cheerleader and works at Pete’s Garage. She has had to take time out of her busy schedule to work on her skit for Monday’s court assembly.
“The theme is diva and we’re just dancing,” Russeau said.
Russeau said she is looking forward to the crowning and will just have to wait to see who wins.
She said she plans on attending Saturday’s dance, held from 7-10:30 p.m. this year.
“I’m going with a group of friends because it’s honestly more fun,” she said.
