Society consistently advertises for people to obsess over personal health whether it is about figure or mentality. Now, is it possible that they do this through shakes? Nutritious fast food places have quickly established themselves in the local town of Monroe. Meals can now be replaced with delicious shakes in hope for a healthier future.
Some people will refuse to accept the idea of shakes replacing meal because it’s simply not “real food.” Others however, enjoy the idea of losing weight with great tasting shakes because it’s easy and fun.
Exercising and eating healthy are the two components to any diet; therefore if people decide to replace their meals with shakes, most dieticians recommend eating real food for health purposes. However, sometimes these shakes can be more beneficial to athletes that are busy and need more protein to save time.
According to Foxnews, “Heather Mangieri, a nutrition consultant and spokeswoman for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, agreed that, ideally, people should get protein from food. But some people who have high caloric needs, such as athletes, may find it more convenient to get their protein, along with necessary extra calories, from a high-protein product, Mangieri said.”
Monroe High has achieved its status ranging from students to teacher involved in a healthier source of daily habit. However there are still people who agree it is a difficult way to achieve an ideal healthy habit with simple shakes.
Junior Taylor Carol said, “I feel these shakes are making it cool for students to try and lose weight where we should just be content in our own skin. I’m opposed to these shakes for the fact that we can be healthy through exercise and a healthy eating routine.”
Many people, on the other hand, find it quite refreshing and rather much healthier than junk food.
Junior Makenzie Turner said, “I love the shakes because they have so many good nutrients in them, and they have helped people to eat healthier and lose weight rather than eating fast food.”
At the end of the day, it is all up to the personal individual whether they qualify for nutritious shakes or not because it is all a matter of you to choose to exercise and eat correctly.
